About
Traveling Mamas™ is a group of professional travel writing women hoping to inspire others to explore our world.

CajunMama (Shannon Hurst Lane) travels the big blue marble in search of fantastic travel destinations and cool products to make a Traveling Mama’s life easier. She says that travel is oxygen for her soul. Every now and then, CajunMama packs her kiddos into RedBug and explores the roads of the US. Sometimes she lets her husband tag along, other times she flies solo. She resides in southern Louisiana. Learn more about CajunMama here.
DesertMama (Beth Blair) lives with her husband, two preschoolers and two teenage step-sons in Tucson, Arizona. She has called 11 cities/towns home and has lived in every U.S. time zone. She is a former flight attendant who left the friendly skies to work as a freelance travel writer. Her son can claim he logged more air miles before he was born than most people fly in a lifetime. You can learn more about DesertMama here.
MountainMama (Kara Williams) lives in the Colorado Rockies with her husband and two young children. She and her family regularly travel to either U.S. coast, Mexico or Hawaii for their annual “beach fix.” As proud owners of beat-up pop-up camper, they take loads of family camping trips around Colorado and neighboring states in the warm-weather months. (But she counts spa getaways with girlfriends among her all-time favorite weekend escapes — shhhhh!) Learn more about MountainMama here.
MudslideMama (Jennifer Miner) is surprised to find herself living in Southern California, after spending most of her years on the East Coast. She’s a true travel lover, who wishes she had more time to see distant parts of the world. At this point, however, SeaWorld and Disneyland seem to make for more easy family travel. MudslideMama strives to raise her kids in such a way that they appreciate the natural wonders of the world as much as the amenities of a luxury resort. So far, the upscale accommodations are winning… Learn more about MudslideMama here.
